Cancellations

West Australian Opera acknowledges we're working in a COVID19 environment, in line with Government roadmaps and directives. This means our performances may be staged at varying capacities with revised seating maps in place in order to keep audiences safe. We also understand we may have to change or cancel plans rapidly and if we do so, our audiences will be communicated to as soon as possible.

We appreciate your understanding as we continue to navigate this together.

WAO has returned to live performance under current Phase 4 capacities.

We have a full program for 2021 (visit the "OPERAS" page to learn more) and we will do our best to stage all performances. In the event things change, patrons will be notified as soon as possible. 

In accordance with the LPA Ticketing Code of Practice, we will be providing patrons to cancelled performances with refunds. You will be contacted by the Box Office to arrange a refund. 

Please do not attend a live performance, workshop or schools event if you are unwell. As an interim COVID-19 measure if you are unwell, please contact bookings@waopera.asn.au prior to the performance to discuss your options with us. Your options include ticket exchanges or a refund.

West Australian Opera has implemented measures to ensure the safety of patrons across all WAO performances. These include

  • Hand sanitiser at entry, exits and bathrooms
  • Increased cleaning and disinfecting in public areas before and after performances
  • Encouraging social distancing with reduced capacities or socially distanced seating.
